Today's Update: Waterproofing finished! Backfill and grading are to be done later today and tomorrow. The garage floor will be poured early next week followed up with framing. By this time next week it should look more like a house! :)
@Nadase Our proposed closing date is Nov. 29th, but may be pushed back a bit due to an issue selling our current home. Our buyer hit a snag with their mortgage company regarding an inheritance property. They are working through the problem, but may delay closing on our Ryan home since it has delayed closing on our current home. We will keep our fingers crossed and hope all goes according to plan.
I commented on your last post but I don't see where it showed up. We are building a Palermo in Williamsburg VA. We broke ground on 9/19 (our wedding anniversary!) and they were pouring concrete yesterday! I look forward to following your journey!

We are looking atg building a palermo, but not wanting to move until late april/early may. We just west to see the closest palermo model monday,2 hours away, to make sure thats the floorplan we want.
We were debating on the Palermo and another model but decided to build the Palermo after visiting the model. I do a lot of work from home, so the home office was a must. Also, the finished basement really sealed the deal for my husband. Good luck!! :-)
Hi Jennifer, my husband and I are also building a Palermo, I will be following your journey closely to see the progress. We are scheduled for ground breaking in November.
Update: We received a call from our SR yesterday, the ground breaking is now scheduled for October 17th. Keeping my fingers crossed that our build is as smooth as yours seems to be going.
Wow this such a great article and the tips are very comprehensive. For sure many entrepreneurs with small and big businesses are going to benefit from this. Keep it up!
